SANTA FE – Mr. Michael Allen Cruser passed away at the age of 79 on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, in Texas City.
Born November 26, 1945, in Rockport, Texas, Mr. Cruser proudly served his country in the United States Navy and worked as an animal control officer in Galveston County for over 25 years. He was a member of Arcadia First Baptist Church, and was a man of unwavering faith, Michael deeply loved God and lived his life guided by that love.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Merritt and Violet (Brundrett) Cruser; sister, Carolyn Cooper.
Survivors include his nieces, Renee Williams and husband, Matt, Kimberly Covington and husband, Wendel Craig, Jeannie Johnson; great nieces and great nephews, Merrick Williams, Lane Williams, Ashlee Covington, Megan Covington, Deven Young, D. J. Johnson, Adelyna Warren, Ellora Warren; close friends, Gene and Becky Newton.
Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. Friday, January 24, 2025, in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home, with Pastor Joshua McDonald officiating. A private cremation will be conducted after services.
Memorials in the form of donations may be made in Michael’s name to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.
