LA MARQUE – Mrs. Mildred Marie Cook passed from this life Monday, February 28, 2022, in La Marque.
Born January 27, 1933, in Galveston, Mrs. Cook had been a lifelong area resident. She enjoyed gardening and plants.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Earl Thomas, and Pearl (Howard) Kemmerling; husband, Guy S. Cook, Jr.; sisters, Patsy Harvey, Elsie Phillips.
Survivors include her son, Guy S. Cook, III and wife, Melissa from Tatum, Texas; daughter, Suzanne Gibson-Reed of La Marque; sister, Earline Couch of La Marque; grandchildren, Guy “Bo” S. Cook, IV, Zachary Kade Cook, Kali Kristen Gibson, Hunter Taylor Reed, Amber Bostick, Trenton Chase Cook; great-grandchildren, Ava Antunez, Nando Antunez, Bransen Cook, Brayden Cook, Brooks Cook.
Honorary bearers will be Guy “Bo” Cook, IV, Zachary Cook, Robert Palmer, Edward Speaker, Alan Loop and Jim Wedergren.
Graveside services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 4, 2022, at Hayes Grace Memorial Park Cemetery, with Pastor Joshua McDonald officiating.
