Natasha Slawson Obituary

SANTA FE - Mrs. Natasha Deon Slawson passed from this life Thursday morning, February 8, 2024, in Santa Fe.

Natasha was born July 11, 1983, in Mount Pleasant, Texas to James and Jill Noey. Growing up as the oldest of 5 kids, Natasha learned from an early age to cook and care for those who needed her help. This skill set prepared her for her career at SFISD and motherhood. She enjoyed every day of her job as the Assistant Manager of Nutrition Services at Santa Fe ISD, where she touched the lives of so many young ones. Her talent in the kitchen could have only been surpassed by her love for sharing meals with the neighborhood kids. Mama Tash, as she was lovingly known, played the role of mother to many. Within the family, she was the heart and soul, providing love, guidance, and unwavering support. Aunt TahTah, as she was known to her nieces and nephews, was the one they could count on to always be on their side. She loved being an aunt just as much as she loved being a mom. Natasha was also a gifted trumpet player, who sat first chair in her marching band, was the high school drum major for several years, and won numerous awards.

May Natasha rest in peace, knowing she left behind a strong legacy with the love that she so generously shared with the world. “Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.” Matthew 5:4

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Raymond and Artie Noey, Bertram and Velma Hanks.

Survivors include her loving husband of nearly 14 years, Clint Slawson; parents, Jill and James Noey; daughter, Alex Dodson and husband, Jami; sons, Ethan Slawson, Cody Cravey, Landen Slawson; brothers, Jake Noey, James Noey; sisters, Amber Moreland and husband, Ricky, Sarah Hammond and husband, Jackson; “husband-in-law” Charles Cravey; parents-in-law, Jay and Brenda Slawson; brother-in-law, Brandon Slawson and wife, Lisa; sister-in-law, Nicole Sartain and husband, Jeremy; one grandchild on the way; many nieces and nephews.
