Nicholas Lloyd Olszak

Nicholas Lloyd Olszak passed away at the age of 36 on April 30, 2025, in Santa Fe.

Nick was born on December 2, 1988, in Princeton, New Jersey. As a middle child, Nick was either goofing or wrestling around with his brothers. Nick found his passion at an early age: music. He loved anything from Rock to Rap. He loved coming up with his own beats and lyrics. Nick was the life of the party, and his ball caps were sure to impress. He loved the thrill of finding that perfect cap. Nick was like a big kid himself, which is why he was always so great with kids. Dogs were a big part of Nicks’ life, and he loved having a companion with him all the time. If he didn’t take his dog, Lucy, with him, she was waiting at the gate for him to get home. Nick was a funny, loving guy who will be greatly missed. 

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Thelma and Lloyd Britain; grandfather, Richard Olszak, Sr. (Joy); grandmother, Gloria Jean Rasmussen.

Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Jan and Patrick DuBose; father, Richard Olszak, Jr.; daughter, Zoe Wiggins; brothers, Richard “Buddy” Olszak, III and wife, Brittney, Anthony Olszak and wife, Kelsie Burkey, Hunter DuBose and wife, Chelsea; sister, Taylor DuBose; aunts, Denise Hill and husband, Vernon, Bonnie Land, Kimberly Welsh; uncles, Kyle Britain and wife, Jennifer, Michael Olszak; fur baby, Balto; numerous other family members and friends.

A memorial service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 10, 2025, in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home, with Pastor Joshua McDonald officiating.
