Nora Lee Adle
KEMAH - Nora Lee Adle, beloved wife, mother, and “Nana”, passed way in the early hours of Thursday, December 15, 2022, at her home in Kemah, TX. She was 86 years old.
Nora Lee was born on June 13, 1936, in Los Angeles, California, but moved to Texas at an early age. She graduated from M.B. Smiley High School, located in Houston, TX in 1955. Nora Lee Collins met her future husband, James Adle, in 1961 while living in Fort Worth. They eventually moved to the Houston area where they raised two boys. Nora Lee was the rock of her family, and dearly loved her husband and two sons. She was a hard worker who wasn’t afraid to get her hands dirty. She and her husband, Jim, built several homes which they lived in or rented. She was always willing to grab a hammer, erect a wall, put on a roof, or help pour concrete. Nora Lee enjoyed traveling across America and Alaska in their RV. She enjoyed owning pets, and the family almost always had a dog. She enjoyed spending time at her home in Ruidoso, New Mexico watching for bear, elk, or other wildlife.
Nora Lee is survived by her husband of 61 years, James Adle, her sons Wesley “Dickie” Parrott (Sharon) and Michael Adle, and her only grandchild, Travis Parrott.
As requested by Nora Lee, the family will plan a private graveside gathering at Forest Park East Cemetery in Webster, TX where her ashes will be buried.
