Omeria Milligan Obituary

SANTA FE – Ms. Omeria Milligan passed peacefully from this life Sunday, May 3, 2026, at home on Halls Bayou.

Omeria was born on September 30, 1939, in Port Arthur. She was a woman of grit, caring for her 5 children while working full time as a single mother. She worked in housekeeping for a couple of different hospitals, working her way up to manager. After 40 years she retired and moved to Halls Bayou where she was known as the Karaoke Queen and loved to dance. She loved meeting her Bayou family at the Halls Bayou Cantina to play bingo and karaoke. Omeria was a long-time member of the Salt Grass Cowboy Church. Omeria loved seeing her grandchildren, and great grandchildren even if it was just through video chat. She was a strong woman, and we will miss her presence in our lives.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Esther (Saltz) Pellerin; daughter, Glenda Brandon; sister, Jo Anna Pellerin; brothers, Paul Edward Pellerin and Callice Pellerin.

Survivors include her sons, Glen Milligan, Jr., Ray Milligan, Donald Milligan and wife, Krezalyn; daughter, Linda Brandon and husband, Randal, Sr.; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family from Hall’s Bayou and Salt Grass Cowboy Church.

Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 15, 2026, at Mount Olivet Catholic Cemetery, with Pastor Derrell Beck officiating.

Memorials in the form of donations may be made in Omeria’s name to Saltgrass Cowboy Church, 5622 FM 646, Santa Fe, TX 77510.
