Pameula Watson Obituary

Pameula Ruth Watson

SANTA FE - Pameula Ruth Watson, surrounded by her children, passed peacefully from this life on Thursday, February 4, 2021.

Pam was born October 1, 1945 to Mary Elizabeth Wilkinson, and raised in Houston by her mother, stepfather, Archie and with her siblings AJ, Steve, Carol and Sandra.

Pam, baptized into the Catholic faith, was a graduate of Stephen F. Austin High School and a proud original member of the Houston Astrodome Spacettes. On February 18, 1966 she married the love of her life, Marvin, enjoying 43 years of marriage and raising their three boys in South Houston.

Pam was the main switchboard operator at Mike Calvert Toyota retiring after thirty years of service with her contagious smile. She continued her “retirement” as a part-time switchboard operator at Gulf Coast Ford until her passing.

Although she loved working, that was not her true calling. Her loves were her children and grandchildren. Never missing a baseball game, swim meet or livestock show she was the ever-present mother, always lending support and cheering on her boys. As a MawMaw she was front and center for any event involving her precious grandchildren.

Pam loved fiercely and without condition. She never met a stranger and was a fast friend to anyone blessed enough to know her. She is missed beyond measure.

Pam is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Marvin; her siblings, Carol, AJ and Steve and sister in law, Vera.

She is survived by her sister, Sandra and her husband, Anthony of Stafford; sister in law, Fayrene Wilkinson of Cleveland; sons, Robert of Mt. Enterprise, Richard and wife, Alisha of Santa Fe and William and wife, Reighn of San Augustine; her beloved grandchildren, Adalida, Brittany, Codi, Peyton, Maley, Gage and Greyson and great grandson, Caden.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 13, 2021 at Aldersgate United Methodist Church in Santa Fe with the Reverend Paul Meiller officiating. The family will receive visitors beginning at 10:00 a.m. with services immediately following at 11:00 a.m.
