SANTA FE - Mr. Pat Hardy, Sr. passed from this life Wednesday afternoon, November 8, 2023, in Webster.

Born August 13, 1942 in San Augustine, Texas, Mr. Hardy had been a resident of Santa Fe for most of his life. He had been a mechanic at Hardys Auto and Truck Repair and a former mechanic at Gene Hammond Ford. Pat raised cattle and enjoyed horses.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Tassie Hardy; sisters, Louise Ware, Abbey Ruth; step-brother, John Earl Green.

Survivors include his loving wife of over 62 years, Rebecca Hardy; sons, Jon Michael Hardy and wife, Vickie of Santa Fe, Pat Vernon Hardy of Santa Fe; sister, Wilma Polk of San Augustine; grandchildren, Brett Hardy, Tristan Hardy, Katelynn Hardy, Lance Hardy, Hollyn Rawls.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 15, 2023, in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home, with Pastor Del Toler officiating. Interment will follow at Hayes Grace Memorial Park Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Billy Creppon, Brett Hardy, Tim Powell, Bobby Rosier, Mark Walker and Gary Wooten.

Visitation with the family will be from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, 10412 Highway 6, Hitchcock, TX (409) 925-3501.
