Patricia Marie (Bowling) David

SANTA FE – Patricia Marie David passed away at the age of 85 on January 21, 2026, in Houston.

Silent yet strong and loving just a few ways to describe the woman born on Nov 27, 1940, Patricia graduated from La Marque high school and soon after married Melvin David. The couple shared a bond for growing trees. So, after Melvin retired, they opened David’s Tree Farm in Santa Fe where they shared so many life lessons with their family and grandsons. Patricia spent many dedicated years working as a meat cutter for Doreck’s and Ghinaudo’s, where she was known for her strong work ethic and warm spirit. She loved bowling with her children, crocheting and giving all she could to those she loved. She was part of TOPS organization for many years but most of all, Patricia will be remembered for the love she shared so generously throughout her life, and for being the best Grandma ever!

She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Mary (Jones) Bowling, and sister, Anita Moreno.

Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Melvin David, Sr.; sons, Melvin David, Jr. and wife, Deanna, Raymond David and wife, Stacy; sister, Linda Armstrong and husband, Bobby; grandchildren, Clayton David, Mason David; great-grandchild, Oaklee David.

Visitation with the family will be from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m., with funeral services beginning at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 31, 2026, in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home, 10412 Highway 6, Hitchcock, TX (409) 925-3501, with Pastor Joshua McDonald officiating. Interment will follow at Hayes Grace Memorial Park Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Tom Andrews, Dwayne McIntryre, Trevor Mitchell, John Mosby, James Sones and Glenn Thompson.
