HITCHCOCK – Mrs. Paula Perez Lozano passed from this life Saturday evening, December 2, 2023, in La Marque surrounded by her family.

Born January 31, 1922, in Falfurius, TX, Mrs. Lozano had been a resident of Hitchcock since 1960, previously of Galveston. Paula attended Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, she enjoyed reading, cooking, and working in her garden but taking care of her family was her favorite thing to do.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Victor and Petra (Ruiz) Perez; husband, Rogelio Lozano, Sr.; sons, Rogelio Lozano, Jr., Henry Lozano; sisters, Antonia Yagel, Josephine “Chepa” Ruiz; brother, Rojerio Perez; son-in-law, Albert Rodriguez, Sr.

Survivors include her daughters, Irma Lozano Ramos, Dora Lozano Rodriguez; 7 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 4 - 6 p.m. Tuesday, December 12, 2023 at Hayes Funeral Home, 10412 Highway 6, (409) 925-3501. A Rosary will follow recited at 6 p.m. led by Mr. Don LeCompte.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 13, 2023, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with Msgr. James B. Anderson, Celebrant. Interment will follow at Galveston Memorial Park Cemetery.

Casketbearers will be Clint DeVries, Lance Lozano, Jason Ramos, Mario Ramos, Albert Rodriguez, Jr and Albert Rodriguez, lll. Honorary bearers will be Chris Knox and Teddy Robinson.
