Radames "Kuky" Irizarry

On May 30th 1947 in Guayanilla Puerto Rico, Radames “Kuky” Irizarry, a humble, remarkable man came to be. First an Hijo to Americo and Amelia; Hermano to Americo “Jr” †, German, Magda, America “Meca”, Manuel, and Amelia “Yamel”; Padre to Radames, Jr.  “Pa” (Wendy), Marlo (Raymond), Raquel (Gideon), Luis “Juni” (Marisol †) and Fabian; Abuelo to Jeremy, Isabella, Jaylene, Desiree, Joseph, Genevieve, Elias, Tyler, Olivia and Noah; a favorite Tio, Amigo , Vecino and more to many, but especially and importantly a true knight and caballero to his love, Aida. 

A life well lived; simple but impactful. A hardworking, loving man who leaves an imprint on all of our hearts. A void that will never be filled, a cape not to be worn by any other hero, and a presence that will stay with us all. With family coming together to bid farewell, we learned how fierce and known the Irizarry’s were in Guayanilla and beyond and it goes without saying “Kuky" was one tough cookie. With that, we bid farewell to one of the greats. May we always carry him in our hearts and remember the countless memories made for all our days to come until we meet again. 

A memorial service will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 13, 2024, in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home, 10412 Highway 6, Hitchcock, TX (409) 925-3501, with Eulisses Longoria officiating.
