SANTA FE - Mrs. Rebecca Lynn Savoie passed from this life Monday morning, March 28, 2022, in Texas City.
Rebecca was born July 27, 1959, in Galveston to Rudolph and Juanita (Mullenax) Riehl. After graduating from Ball High School, she married the love of her life, Daniel Savoie. She loved being a homemaker, staying home with her children and caring for others. Rebecca was a compassionate woman who always kept her heart and mind open. Her great sense of humor always kept things light and fun. She loved to dance, sing karaoke and wind down with a steamy romance novel. Becoming a grandmother gave Rebecca another purpose in life. She loved her grandchildren with all her heart. Her energy was one of a kind, and we will miss her greatly.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Rudolph James and Juanita Estelle (Mullenax) Riehl; husband, Daniel Paul Savoie; granddaughter, Alacia Danielle Wile.
Survivors include her sons, Christopher Rae Wile and wife, Melissa, John Paul Savoie and wife, Brittany; daughters, Crystal Renee Gulakins and husband, Max, Elizabeth Ashley Brown and husband, Justinn; brothers, Rudolph James Riehl, II, Thomas Riehl and wife, Debbie; sisters, Kathy Riehl, Beth Ann McGinnes; grandchildren, Adrianna Lynette Rawls, Ilya Isaiah Gulakins; fur baby, Molly. Numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 2, 2022, in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home, with Pastor Charlie Rollo officiating. Interment will follow at Hayes Grace Memorial Park Cemetery. Services will be live streamed, please click on link below to watch.
Pallbearers will be John Paul Savoie, Christopher Wile, Justinn Brown, Ilya Gulakins, Max Gulakins and Thomas Riehl.
Visitation with the family will be from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, 10412 Highway 6, Hitchcock, TX (409) 925-3501.
