Reva Jo Freeze-Vail

SANTA FE – Reva Jo Freeze-Vail passed away at the age of 65 on Saturday, November 8, 2025, in Santa Fe.

Born December 29, 1959, in Texas City, Reva was a lifelong resident of Santa Fe. She worked as a driver with BNSA Railroad for four years, where she was known for her reliability and warm spirit. Outside of work, she found great happiness in the company of her three beloved dogs, who were her constant companions and numerous friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Claribel (Hensley) Freeze; sister, Barbara Goodwin Burns.

Survivors include her daughters, Rhonda Thornton, Rebecca Western both of Santa Fe; brothers, Gary W. Freeze and wife, Joanne, Terry Freeze and wife, Theresa; sisters, Donna Gassaway, Shirley Patton; 6 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

A private cremation was conducted under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home.
