LA MARQUE - Mr. Reynaldo Herrera, Sr., 82, passed away January 9, 2024, in League City surrounded by family.
Reynaldo was born January 22, 1941, in Tynan, Texas to parents, Condelario Herrera and Rita Garabay Herrera. Reynaldo was a graduate of Ball High School in Galveston. He married the love of his life Janet Sue (Fannin) Herrera in 1961, and together they raised 4 beautiful children. Reynaldo worked as a meat cutter for Kroger for 8 years, and later became an operator at Amoco, a job he loved, till his retirement. He was a loving family man and a man of knowledge, that treasured his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Condelario Herrera and Rita Garabay Herrera; daughter, Ragina Herrera; brothers, Edward Herrera, Raul Herrera, Ruben Herrera.
Survivors include his loving wife of 63 years, Janet Herrera; sons, Reynaldo Herrera, Jr. and wife, Georgia of La Marque, Thomas Ray Herrera and wife, Cindy of Dallas; daughter, Donna Marie Good of League City; grandchildren, Dwayne Blankenship, Darbi Harris, Drew Good, D. J. Good, Reynaldo Herrera, III, Olivia Koepke; great-grandchildren, Kaylee Blankenship, Bridgette Blankenship, Olivia Blankenship, Skylar Harris, Waylon Harris.
Visitation with the family will be from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m., Monday, January 15, 2024, with a funeral service beginning at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home, with Mrs. Darbi Harris officiating. Interment will follow at Hayes Grace Memorial Park Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Bobby Blankenship, Dwayne Blankenship, Drew Good, Robert Good, Jr., Reynaldo Herrera, Jr. and Reynaldo Herrera, III. Honorary bearers will be Matthew Harris and Thomas Ray Herrera.
