Rhonda Jean (Hixon) Clark
SANTA FE - Mrs. Rhonda Jean (Hixon) Clark gained her wings to Heaven on Saturday, April 1, 2023, in League City surrounded by loved ones after a long courageous battle against Multiple Myeloma.
Rhonda was born April 26, 1960, to Joe and Wanda Jo (Untermeyer) Hixon. As a young lady, Rhonda grew up on Galveston Island enjoying the ocean breeze and sandy beaches with family and childhood friends. Around the age of 16 she moved to the Tucson, Arizona area with family members where she grew into a young woman. Along the path of life, she was blessed with the joy of her life, a son, that she named Jimmy that she loved very dearly. In her life path she also spent some time in the Sagemont South Houston area close to her mother where she eventually earned her license to be a professional manicurist. In addition to her diverse career she also worked for the Hampton Inn eventually progressing to assistant manager where she also met some of her lifelong friends. Sometime along her path of life while frequenting her father’s business establishment in Santa Fe, Texas she met the love of her life, Randy, and together they created a family. From the beginning Rhonda made it known to many that she was very outspoken, spunky and blunt, not taking any nonsense from anyone. The ruler of her roost. They loved having family, neighbors, and lifelong friends over for parties and bbq cook outs. She eventually grew on everyone at the same time befriending and feeding anyone without discrimination. She loved spending time with family, especially her brother Dan where they would go for car rides to see old friends and visit some awesome lunch spots. She was so proud of her kids, grandkids, nieces and nephews and their great achievements. She looked forward to the holidays when she could show off her cooking and baking skills where she would make everyone amazed and miserable at the same time with the amazing spread she would put together. She was such a special friend to so many but mostly Rhonda was a loving housewife, mother, sister, Mimi, aunt, and great friend to all. In her last will and testament, she wrote how proud she was of her kids and to her grandchildren she wrote…
To all my grandchildren,
Never be sad, just laugh the laugh that I have always loved to hear and never forget MiMi has always loved you!!
