HITCHCOCK - Mr. Richard Reginald Kohn passed from this life Monday afternoon, January 2, 2023, in Webster.

Born May 18, 1944 in Galveston, Mr. Kohn had been a 20 year resident of La Marque before moving to Hitchcock 5 years ago. He served in the United States Air Force working in aircraft maintenance for 35 years before retiring as a Tech Sergeant. In his civilian life he was a skilled HVAC technician, was known to his friends and family as quite a jokester and had no filter!

He was preceded in death by his parents, Warren and Florence (Autrey) Moody, Sr.

Survivors include his sons, Richard Stewart Kohn and wife, Kelsie, of Dickinson, Hugo Kohn of Hitchcock; brother, Warren Moody, Jr.; grandchildren, Klara Kohn, Lucas Kohn, Adleigh Kohn and Oliver Kohn.

A private cremation was conducted under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home.

Memorials in the form of donations may be made in Richard’s name to any Galveston County Charity of your choice.
