Robert Charles "RC" Jacob, Jr.

SANTA FE – Robert Charles “RC” Jacob, Jr., passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Wednesday, July 9, 2025. Born in Texas City, Texas, RC was a proud graduate of Santa Fe High School and a true country soul who found joy in farm life and the outdoors.

RC loved being outdoors – riding horses, working cattle, and spending countless hours on his tractor. He was usually at home tending to his vegetable garden, bailing hay and farming. His loyal dog, Zoey, was never far from his side.

RC loved his family deeply, and his heart belonged to both his country and his Creator. His faith in God was steady and strong, a quiet but constant presence in his life. 

He is survived by his loving wife, Debi; her son, Buford; grandsons, Brick and Brock; his beloved mother, Joyce; sister, Linda (Alvin) Lovelady; brother, Kenny; several nieces, great nieces and great nephews who will cherish memories of his warm smile, kind heart, and easy humor. 

His legacy is one of hard work, love for the land, faith, and devotion to those he held dear. He lived a life full of purpose, and he now rests in peace under Heaven’s wide-open sky.

He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Visitation will be held from 9:30 – 11:00 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with Reverend Larry Wilson, Celebrant. Interment will follow at Hayes Grace Memorial Park Cemetery.
