Robert Melvin Morgan
TEXAS CITY - Mr. Robert Melvin Morgan passed from this life Monday evening, July 13, 2020, in Texas City.
Born June 3, 1934 in Temple, Texas, Mr. Morgan had been a self-employed handyman and a resident of Texas City for most his life. He enjoyed art, working with leather and woodworking. Robert was a member of the NRA and an avid Dallas Cowboy fan. He was affectionately known as “Uncle Bob”.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Grace (Thomas) Morgan; sister, Jernice Esclavon; brother, Kenneth Morgan; niece, Sandra Lee and a great-niece, Lisa Esclavon.
Survivors include his daughters, Kimberly Miller, Kassandra Morgan, Kazel Morgan, Kathy Schoenhals, Karen Morgan; great nephews, Joseph Esclavon, Dennis Henry, Sean Henry; great-great-nieces and nephews, Amber Guzman and Evans Chambless, Anna Esclavon and Greg Randle, Emilio Guzman and Shaina, Tiffany Esclavon, Bradley Esclavon, Michael Esclavon, Brennon Esclavon, William Esclavon; great-great-great nieces, Symone Randle, Sarenity Randle, Faith Underwood, Hope Chambless.
Visitation with the family will be from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 17, 2020 in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home, 10412 Highway 6, Hitchcock, TX, followed by a funeral service at 10:00 a.m., with Pastor Joshua McDonald officiating.
Due to executive orders from the Governor effective July 3, 2020
everyone attending will be required to wear a face mask.
