Robert "Bob" Charles Kahlden

HITCHCOCK – Mr. Robert “Bob” Charles Kahlden passed from this life Thursday morning, April 3, 2025, in League City.

Born April 19, 1957, in Weimar, Texas, Bob or lovingly known as Uncle Bob, was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church for 10 years, previously a member of Shrine of the True Cross. He began golfing at the age of 16 alongside his father, a hobby that became a lifelong passion. He was an avid elk hunter and enjoyed both freshwater and saltwater fishing, always finding peace and purpose in nature. During warmer months, he could often be found water skiing or tending to his vegetable garden. A talented and determined builder, he constructed two homes with care and craftsmanship. His interest in design began early, sparked by a high school drafting class that shaped the way he saw and built the world around him.

He was preceded in death by his mother, JaNell (Vacek) Kahlden; sister-in-law, Sherry Kahlden.

Survivors include is father, Elliot Kahlden; brothers, Glen Kahlden and wife, Sharyn, Dale Kahlden; sister, Jan Cash and husband, Bobby; nieces and nephews, Joe Kahlden, Kristi West, John Kahlden, Joshua Cash and wife, Tracy, Ryan Cash, Eric Cash and wife, Katie, Zachary Cash, Alyssa Alexander and husband, Brody; great nieces and nephews, Jaxon West, Mason West, Hunter Cash, Kinsley Cash, Sophia Cash, Mason Cash, Tallon Cash, Taylor Cash, Jayce Cash; close friends, Dan Sefcik, Jody Matzke, Kerry Klibert; numerous other family members, golf and hunting buddies.

Casketbearers will be Eric Cash, Hunter Cash, Joshua Cash, Ryan Cash, Zachary Cash, Joe Kahlden and John Kahlden.

Visitation will be held from 9:30 – 10:00 a.m., with a Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with Father Larry Wilson, Celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Cemetery in Weimar, TX at 2:30 p.m.
