ALGOA - Mr. Roger Ronald Ruda passed from this life Monday morning, November 15, 2021, in Houston.

Born March 5, 1939 in Merrimac, Wisconsin, Mr. Ruda had been a resident of Algoa for most of his life. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force and was an aeronautical engineer at Nasa for over 40 years having worked for Boeing and McDonald Douglas. Roger was a pilot who enjoyed golf and playing the stock market.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alger and Leah (Maxwell) Ruda; wife, Sandra Ruda; son, Robert Roy “Hatchet” Rollins; brother, Gene Ruda.

Survivors include his daughters, Rosalin Hunter and husband, Jeff of Algoa, Becci Adams and husband, John of Hot Springs, Arkansas; sister, Patricia Bass of Wisconsin; grandchildren, Megan Hunter, Marissah Stevens, Justin Stevens, Joshua Stevens, Rickie Stevens; great-grandchildren, Ayden Stevens, Avery Nichol Stevens; several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be conducted 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 27, 2021, at Hayes Grace Memorial Park Cemetery.

Memorials in the form of donations may be made in Rogers’ name to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.
