SANTA FE – Mrs. Rose Jeannette Guidry passed away at the age of 97 on Thursday, December 18, 2025, in Santa Fe.
Born July 21, 1928, in Hitchcock, Texas, Mrs. Guidry was a lifelong area resident. She devoted 28 years of her professional life as a secretary with Amoco Chemical Company, retiring in 1989. Outside of work, Rose found great joy in gardening and flowers, and expressed her creativity through painting on wood and ceramics.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Allen and Alice (Gilbert) Tacquard; sister, Marie Shannon.
Survivors include her daughter, Kandice Arndt of Santa Fe; brother, Allen Tacquard and wife, Ann of Granbury; sister, Virginia Dyda of Santa Fe; grandson, Robert Boecker and fiancé, Tiffani; great-grandchildren, Haley Fonseca and husband, Trey of Angleton, Trey Boecker III of Houston; great-great-grandchildren, Cohen Eversole and Clarie Fonseca of Angleton; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation with the family will be from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. Saturday, December 27, 2025, in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home, 10412 Highway 6, Hitchcock, TX (409) 925-3501.
