SANTA FE - Mrs. Rose Marie Vanier Brandon passed from this life Wednesday morning, August 21, 2024, in Webster.
Born September 17, 1930, in Key West, Florida, Mrs. Brandon had been a resident of Santa Fe since 1946. She was a life member of the VFW Post 5400 Ladies Auxiliary and Santa Fe Christian Church. Rose enjoyed crossword puzzles and cooking, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Guy and Ruby (Sawyer) Bradley; husbands, Thomas Jackson Vanier, Sr. and Clyde Eugene Brandon; brothers, Phillip Bradley, Ralph Bradley, John Bradley; sisters, Dollis Koehn, Shirley Masterson, Nellie Fitch.
Survivors include her son, Jack Vanier and wife, Ellen of Santa Fe; daughters, Cathy Gehret and husband, Vernon, Linda Achille and husband, Nick, Connie Constantine and husband, Don all of Santa Fe; sisters-in-law, Catherine Bashrum, Doris and Bo Boney both of Pineville, La; 9 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 27, 2024, in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home, with Pastor Gary Windham officiating. Interment will follow at Hayes Grace Memorial Park Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Don Constantine, Jr., Jared Cornelius, Jeremy Cornelius, Joseph Hawkins, Jr., Hayden Vanier and Thomas Vanier. Honorary bearers will be Nick Achille, Jr. and Nick Achille, III.
Visitation with the family will be from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, 10412 Highway 6, Hitchcock, TX (409) 925-3501.
