LEAGUE CITY – Mr. San Juan Carrillo “Johnny” Garcia passed away at the age of 50 on Monday, September 1, 2025, in Hitchcock.
Born September 4, 1974, in San Antonio, Johnny worked as a machinist and played baseball in his younger years and carried that love of the game throughout his life. He was also an avid Dallas Cowboys fan, never missing a chance to cheer for his team. Wrestling held a special place in his heart as well, and he enjoyed attending Korn concerts, where his passion for music truly shined.
Above all, his greatest joy came from spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, who brought him endless pride and happiness. His presence will be deeply missed, but his memory will continue to live on through the love he gave and the lives he touched.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Augustine and Hortencia (Carrillo) Garcia; granddaughter, Stella Barnes.
Survivors include his son, Haven Reitz of Onalaska; daughters, Sierria Barnes and husband, Mason of Onalaska, Elyssa Garcia and fiancé, Eagan Oliver of Santa Fe; brothers, Bobby Garcia and wife, Sandra of Seguin, Steve Garcia of Seguin, Raul Garcia and wife, Barbara of Alvin; sisters, Jennifer Castillo of League City, Terry Azua of Seguin; grandchildren, Maya Barnes, Violet Reitz; numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation with the family will be from 4:00 – 5:00 p.m., followed by a funeral service at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, September 12, 2025, in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home, 10412 Highway 6, Hitchcock, Texas.
