Sandra Jean (Jones) Andoe

SANTA FE – Mrs. Sandra Jean Andoe passed from this life Monday, May 5, 2025, in Santa Fe, Texas.

Born November 5, 1938, in Dallas, Sandra was a devoted member of the First Christian Church the Disciples of Christ in Texas City, and lived a life marked by compassion and faith. Her service extended beyond her church walls—she trained in disaster response with the American Red Cross, always ready to help others in times of need. For 25 years, she worked with Galveston County Welfare, dedicating herself to supporting families and individuals with dignity and care. After retiring from public service, she continued her lifelong mission of nurturing others by caring for children at Childworks Preschool for another 26 years. But above all, it was her family that brought her the greatest joy. Her time, love, and energy were most fully given to those she held dearest—her loved ones, who were the heart of her world.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Leroy and Mildred (Dozier) Jones; grandson, Tynan Andoe.

Survivors include her loving husband of 68 years, Bill Andoe; son, Kevin Andoe (Rebecca); daughters, Caryee Andoe, Tess Andoe; brother, Sammy Jones; grandchildren, Turner Andoe (Breanne), Tucker Andoe (Chelsea), Justin Andoe (Morgan), Tindall Andoe (Courtney), Michael McCoy, Lisa Hendrix (Chris), Emily Stewart (Jeff), Jenna Varela (Emilio); 14 great-grandchildren; fur baby, Sugar-Bear.

Sandra was laid to rest at Hayes Grace Memorial Park Cemetery.
