Shelly Renee Traylor

HITCHCOCK – Ms. Shelly Renee Traylor. passed away at the age of 57 on Thursday, June 26, 2025, in Hitchcock.

Shelly was born in Houston on September 9, 1967, to Richard and Paulette Traylor. She graduated from Spring Branch High School and eventually made her way to Galveston County. Shelly was a fan of 90’s country music and back in the day she loved country dancing and beating all the guys at darts. Shelly was very candid with a great sense of humor. She loved spending her time at the beach or watching lifetime movies, but she lived for her children and grandchildren. Shelly enjoyed her solitary times except when it came to football. She loved cheering for her favorite team, The Texans, with friends and family.

She was preceded in death by her father, Richard Traylor; best friend, Eva Fought.

Survivors include her mother, Paulette Traylor; daughters, Kirsten Weldon, Jessica Till, Meagen Canada; sisters, Wendy Nix, Stacy Rodrigues; grandchildren, Richard Weldon, Robert Weldon Junior, Elizabeth Till, Jacob Till; cousin, Tonya S.; fur baby, Max.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 2, 2025, in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home, with Pastor Steve Toth officiating. Interment will be at Hayes Grace Memorial Park Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Eric Ramirez and Bryan Theriot.
