SANTA FE – Mrs. Shirley Ann Galaznik passed away at the age of 72 on July 7, 2026, in Santa Fe.


Born April 2, 1954, in Texas City, Mrs. Galaznik was a lifelong Santa Fe resident. Shirley was a former truck driver with Zipp Express Trucking Company for 10 years before her husband passed and then worked at Walmart for over 20 years as a customer service manager. She was a faithful member of Arcadia Christian Church and found joy in the simple pleasures of life. Shirley loved cooking, spending time at the beach, and creating cherished memories with her grandchildren, who brought immense happiness to her life. She also treasured the special bond she shared with her mother and greatly enjoyed their shopping trips together. Shirley will be remembered for her hardworking spirit, her love for family, and the warmth and kindness she shared with those around her.


She was preceded in death by her father, Morris Ray Evans; husband, Delbert J. Galaznik; son, Aaron Ray Hurger.


Survivors include her mother, Sarilda Eernisse; brothers, Randy Evans and wife, Debra of Santa Fe, Larry Evans and wife, Frances of Friendswood; sister, Tammy Munoz and husband, Pat of Dickinson; daughter-in-law, Kimberly Roset of Sugarland; grandchildren, Aidan Hurger, Ian Hurger; several nieces and nephews.


Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 14, 2026, in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home, with Mr. Jeffrey Eernisse officiating. Interment will follow at Hayes Grace Memorial Park Cemetery.


Pallbearers will be Alan Eernisse, Daniel Evans, Jacob Gonzalez, Jacob Munoz, Jonathan Munoz and Michael Rodriguez.


Visitation with the family will be from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, 10412 Highway 6, Hitchcock, TX (409) 925-3501.
