SAN MARCOS - Ms. Susie (O’Mara) Midkiff passed from this life Tuesday morning, August 29, 2023, in San Marcos.

was born on April 24, 1961, in Galveston to John and Jacqulyn O’Mara. While living on the island Susie loved to watch the ships sail by and go to the beach. She was exceptionally good at painting, knitting and anything that had to do with crafting. Susie loved hiking anywhere with rough terrain. Some of her favorite spots to hike being Yellowstone and the Teton mountains. Susie was a wonderful mother, sister and aunt who will be missed greatly.

She was preceded in death by her father, John William O’Mara.

Survivors include her son, Gregory Moore Midkiff, Jr.; mother, Jacqulyn (Allbritton) Garcia; brother, William J. O’Mara; nieces, Meagan O’Mara, Amand Ponder.

A memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 9, 2023, in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home, with Pastor Joshua McDonald officiating.
