Terry Lane Grice

SANTA FE – Mr. Terry Lane Grice passed away at the age of 65 (but when he was asked, his age was always 17.5) on Friday, December 27, 2024, in Santa Fe.

Terry was born December 21, 1959, in Casey, South Carolina (but always claimed he was born in Lake Charles, Louisiana). In High School, he met Pam (May) who would go on to be his wife and business partner. Together they owned Bud’s Tire Service where they have served the community since 1989. Before that, he worked as a florist and electrician. In 2005, he started a roadside business which he worked until his health declined. Terry was a man who wore many hats. He loved being outdoors, whether that was riding four wheelers with Pam having a family BBQ, or grilling. He had a special place in his heart for all animals, but his fur babies, Gator and Max – he loved especially. Terry had a wonderful sense of humor and was an excellent judge of character. Always the prankster, Terry loved pulling jokes and stunts on friends and family. He loved spending time with his family and was always willing to help those in need. He will be greatly missed by all who were touched by him.

Survivors include his loving wife of 48 years, Pam Grice; mother, Bertie Harbour; sons, Terry George Grice and wife, Sabrina, Johnny Wayne Grice and wife, Brittaney; daughters, Tabitha Grice and husband, Eric, Charming Mustion and husband, Michael, Amanda Gonzalez and husband, Frank; brothers, James Ray Grice and wife, Christine, David Harbour; 18 grandchildren.

Visitation with the family will be Monday, January 6, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., with a funeral service at 11:00 a.m., in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home, 10412 Highway 6, Hitchcock, Texas, with Pastor Josh McDonald officiating.

Pallbearers will be T. G. Grice, J. W. Grice, Michael Mustion, Eric Guzman, Frank Gonzalez and Ricky Grice.
