Thomas Edward Harryman, Sr. passed away at the age of 85 on January 3, 2026, in Santa Fe.
Thomas was born September 23, 1940, in Galveston, Texas, and was a lifelong resident of the area. He dedicated 48 years of service to American National Life Insurance, where he worked as a project manager and was known for his strong work ethic and commitment.
In his younger years, Thomas had a deep love for sports and enjoyed playing baseball, football, and basketball. He was especially proud of coaching Little League, sharing his passion for the game and mentoring young athletes. Throughout his life, he also found great joy in playing golf and spending time fishing, activities that brought him both relaxation and happiness.
Thomas will be remembered for his dedication to his career, his love of sports, and his enjoyment of the simple pleasures of life
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred John Harryman and Alice Marie (Anderson) Harryman; son, Thomas E. Harryman, Jr.
Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Susan Harryman; son, David Allen Harryman and wife, Carla; brother, Wayne Harryman and wife, Debbie; sister, Lenora Bruns; grandchildren, Dylan, Kassidy, Ian, Dean, Sara and Ella Harryman and 3 great grandchildren.
Visitation with the family will be from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m., with funeral services beginning at 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 12, 2026, at Aldersgate Methodist Church, with Pastor Amy Peters officiating. Interment will be at Galveston Memorial Park Cemetery.
