Vance Patrick Gomas

Vance Patrick Gomas was born on July 27, 1963, and passed away just three days before his 62nd birthday. He was a man full of heart – fiercely loyal, endlessly kind, and deeply devoted to his family.

He is survived by his loving wife, Sherie Gomas; his children, Susan Gomas and husband, David, Alan Gomas and wife, Kayla. He was a proud grandfather to Kaylee, Anthony, Eli, Lindsey, Michael and John, all of whom brought him immense joy.

Vance is also survived by his brother, Mark Gomas and wife, Joy; sisters, Patti Boyer, Kathy Sims, and Karen Riley; and many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.

Vance adored spending time outdoors, going on peaceful walks, and simply being present with the people he loved most. His soul beat to the rhythm of classic rock – especially the music of The Beatles and ZZ Top – and his spirit carried the warmth and strength found in those timeless songs. Though he’s no longer with us in body, his laughter, his wisdom, and his quiet strength remain a constant presence in our lives.

Graveside services will be conducted 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 1, 2025, at Hayes Grace Memorial Park Cemetery.
