Wayne Douglas “Pepe” Spencer, Sr.

SANTA FE - Mr. Wayne Douglas “Pepe” Spencer, Sr. passed from this life Saturday, September 16, 2023, in League City.

Born November 30, 1958 in Galveston, Mr. Spencer had been a lifelong area resident. He was an industrial painter and enjoyed Nascar, especially Dale Earnhardt, Sr. and the Dallas Cowboys.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Edna (Wright) Spencer, Jr.; sisters, Mary Lou Mancill and Margaret Moore.

Survivors include his loving wife of nearly 47 years, Robbie Spencer; sons, Wayne Douglas Spencer, and wife, Jennifer of League City, George William Spencer of Santa Fe; daughter, Brandy Lynn Meade and husband, Sean of Santa Fe; brother, George Harcourt Spencer, III and wife, Mary; sister, Linda Gayle Sutton of Santa Fe; grandchildren, Shayne Meade, Hunter Meade, McKinsey Spencer, Eli Spencer, Kace Spencer, Rhyatt Spencer, Madalynn Spencer; several nieces and nephews.

Visitation with the family will be from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. with a funeral service at 3:00 p.m., Friday, September 22, 2023, in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home, 10412 Highway 6, Hitchcock, TX (409) 925-3501, with Pastor Johnny Angel officiating.

Honorary pallbearers will be Ronny Boman, Hunter Meade, Sean Meade, Shayne Meade, George W. Spencer, Wayne D. Spencer, Jr.
