Yolanda (Silva) Peterson

PASADENA - Mrs. Yolanda Silva Peterson passed from this life Sunday afternoon, September 1, 2024, in Pasadena.

Born December 29, 1967, in Alvin, Texas, Mrs. Peterson had been a resident of Pasadena for over 20 years, previously of Santa Fe, Texas City and Webster and was a member of Richey Street Baptist Church in Pasadena. Yolanda spent over 20 years working in childcare, nurturing and shaping the lives of countless children. Her genuine love for kids shone through in everything she did, making a lasting impact on the families she served. A proud and loyal Dallas Cowboys fan, she could often be found cheering on her team every game day, never missing a chance to show her support.

She was preceded in death by her father, Nick Stabile; grandmother, Maria Salas.

Survivors include her loving husband of 23 years, Jeff Peterson; mother, Maria Estella Salas; daughters, Lindsey Taylor and husband, Ryan of Tyler, Chelsea Thornton and husband, Dane of Texas City; sister, Connie Springer and husband, Rusty of Santa Fe; grandchildren, Jaden Taylor, Caiden Taylor, Rylee Rose and Dallas Mansfield.

Visitation with the family will be from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. with funeral services beginning at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 7, 2024, in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home, 10412 Highway 6, Hitchcock, TX (409) 925-3501, with Pastor Michael Thomas officiating.
