     SANTA FE – Mr. Brian Mitchell DeRock passed from this life Thursday, August 18, 2016, in Santa Fe. Born June 24, 1969 in Sacramento, California Mr. DeRock had been a resident of Santa Fe for 16 years, previously of Colorado Springs and Ft. Carson. Brian served in the United States Army, was a student at ITT Tech for cybersecurity. He enjoyed playing on his computer and fishing.

     Survivors include his loving wife, Donna DeRock; parents Dale and Maureen DeRock of Santa Fe; son, Brian James DeRock of Kansas; daughter, Tayna Marie DeRock of Colorado Springs; brothers, Ian James DeRock of Santa Fe, Christopher Thomas DeRock of Oklahoma City; uncle and aunt, Gerald and Zyfelda DeRock of Woodland, California.

     Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 24, 2016, in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home, with Reverend John Kappe officiating.

     Visitation with the family will be from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, 10412 Highway 6, Hitchcock, TX (409) 925-3501. A private cremation was conducted under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home.
