Clyde "Joe" Joseph Corson

HOUSTON – Mr. Clyde Joseph Corson passed from this life Tuesday evening, September 27, 2016 in Houston.

Born June 29, 1941 in Galveston Mr. Corson had been a resident of Houston for 49 years. He retired form Southwestern Bell after 47 years with the company. He was on the Board of Directors of Southbelt Ellington News and member of the Rotary Club and the Kiwanis Club. Joe enjoyed gardening, spending time in Galveston and dancing.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde Willard and Hazel Lee (Hawkins) Corson; wife, Sharon Yvonne Corson.

Survivors include his daughter, Kimberly Yvonne Corson of Erie, Pennsylvania; brother, Francis Willard Corson and wife, Joyce of Santa Fe; good friend, Mavis Irvan of League City.

Graveside services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Friday, September 30, 2016, at Hayes Grace Memorial Park Cemetery, with Pastor Ward Cusic officiating.

Visitation with the family will be from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home, 10412 Highway 6, (409) 925-3501.

Memorials in the form of donations may be made in Clyde’s name to Grace Community Church, Post Office Box 891409, Houston, Texas 77289 and Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, 5433 Westheimer, Suite 300, Houston, Texas 77056.
