Stephen Douglas Hahn

ALGOA – Mr. Stephen Douglas Hahn passed from this life Wednesday evening, October 11, 2017, at his home in Algoa.

Born December 13, 1934 in Whitehouse, Florida, Mr. Hahn had been a longtime resident of Algoa. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army as a medical corpsman, was an active member of Celebration House Church in La Marque and was a member of Ball High School Lunch Bunch, where he graduated from in 1954. Stephen loved traveling, hunting and fishing, animals, the outdoors and was an avid gardener.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Lena (Spell) Hahn; brother, Rosevelt “Ralph” Hahn; sister, Mary Dupre.

Survivors include his loving wife of almost 51 years, Kathie Hahn; daughters, Melisa Davis of Santa Fe, Cristalyn Hahn of Kilgore; grandchildren, Brian Ayres and wife, Jessica, Kaysha Massa and husband, Ryan, Jordan Johnson, Jayson Johnson, Jaidyn Davis; great-grandchildren, Eli Ayres, Emma Ayres; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 18, 2017, in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home, with Reverend James Benson officiating. Interment will follow at Hayes Grace Memorial Park Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Brian Ayres, Joseph Dispensa, Jayson Johnson, Jordan Johnson, Ryan Massa and Eugene Pringle.

Visitation with the family will be from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, 10412 Highway 6, Hitchcock, TX (409) 925-3501.
