     CRYSTAL BEACH – Mr. Tim Landis Turner passed from this life Wednesday night, November 30, 2016, in Santa Fe.

     Born July 17, 1962 in Vidor, Mr. Turner had been a resident of Crystal Beach since 2015, previously of Santa Fe. Tim was the general manager for WCID #8, Gulf Area District Texas Water Utility Association where he was President elect in 1998 and President in 1999 and numerous water associations in Galveston County. He was a member of John Mitchell Masonic Lodge #1401 AF & AM, Gulf Coast Conservation Association, coached Little League in Santa Fe, Hitchcock and Texas City for many years, was an avid fisherman but most of all he enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially his grandbaby, Marley.

     He was preceded in death by his father, Melvin Robert Turner and his father-in-law, Harold Lloyd Chesshir, Sr.

     Survivors include his loving wife of 21 years, Jamie Turner; mother, Barbara Turner of Vidor; sons, Troy Turner of Hitchcock, Shane Turner and wife, Dana of Santa Fe, Blake Jackson and fiancé, Kandace Chapman of Santa Fe, Dillon Jackson of Santa Fe; brother, Keith Turner and wife, Vickie of Orange Field; grandchild, Marley Turner; mother and stepfather-in-law, Don and Bert Morgan; brothers and sisters-in-law Harold Lloyd, Jr., and Cathi Chesshir, Mitch and Mary Chesshir, Steve and Tracie Breland, Jackie Click; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

     A memorial service will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 6, 2016, at Arcadia First Baptist Church, 14828 Highway 6, Santa Fe, with Dr. Rick Smith officiating. Masonic Service will be rendered by John Mitchell Masonic Lodge #1401 AF & AM. A private cremation was conducted under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home.

     Honorary pallbearers will be Joey Dieringer, Steve Jefferson, William Kimberly, Judge Mike Nelson, James Newman, Nick Rotolo and Bruce Scales.

     The family would like to invite everyone to join them on Crystal Beach at 3:00 p.m., Tuesday for the scattering of Tim’s ashes. The ceremony will be held on the beach in the Holiday Beach Subdivision.
