DICKINSON - Mrs. Jo Frances Smith passed from this life Monday morning, June 20, 2016, at her home in Dickinson, surrounded by her loving family.

Born April 3, 1938 in San Angelo, Mrs. Smith had been a resident of Dickinson since 2014.  She had worked at Gordon’s Jewelry for 25 years, retiring as a sales manager, was a member of the Baptist faith and loved her family above everything else.

Preceded in death by her parents, Vardy and Emma Lee (Eubanks) Box; husband, Charles Clyde Smith; sister, Lavada Churchill; and brother-in-law, David Kattner, survivors include her children, Gwen Smith Crowson of Dickinson, Bill Smith of Santa Fe, Luke Cal and Cheryl Smith of Deer Park; step children, Debra Sue Pulver of Lake Charles, LA, Donna Joan Kjerulff of Burkeville; brother, Frank Box (Mandy) of Montgomery; sisters, Carolyn Casey (Frank) of Robert Lee, TX, Debbie Kattner of Deer Park, Valerie Jacobs (Jim) of Beach City, TX; grandchildren, Jacob, Savannah and Aubrey Smith, Ryan and Jenna Crowson, Callie and Cailyn Smith and numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, June 23, 2016 in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home, Pastor Tim Dunn officiating.  Interment will follow at Hayes Grace Memorial Park. 

Visitation will be from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, 10412 Highway 6, (409) 925-3501.
