Troy Lewis “Buddy” Lindahl
HITCHCOCK – Mr. Troy Lewis “Buddy” Lindahl passed from this life Thursday afternoon, October 13, 2016, in Webster. Born December 31, 1935 in Houston, Mr. Lindahl had been a resident of Hitchcock since 1978, previously of New York. He was a member of NRA, enjoyed going to the gun range, hunting, fishing, gardening, building things out of wood, watching westerns, (especially John Wayne) and Barbara Mandrell. Troy chauffeured movie stars in his early years and loved his pets. He had worked as the harbormaster at Galveston Yacht Basin for 30 years before retiring and had served in the U.S. Navy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lynn Howard and Jackie H. (Johnson) Lindahl; son, Chris Lindahl.
Survivors include his loving wife of 39 years, Charlean Lindahl; son, Dennis Wayne Noah and wife, Michele; daughters, Deborah and Victoria “Vickie”; grandchildren, Katie Maroni and husband, Adam, Daniel Noah, Zach Cole and wife, Amanda, Stephanie, Jacquelyn, William, Nathaniel, Jordan and Christine Eblin; great-grandchildren, Khloe, James, Eric, Evelyn, Gabrielle, Rebecca, Michael and Warren.
Funeral services will be 11:30 a.m. Monday, October 17, 2016, in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home, with Brother Lee Balinas officiating, followed by a private cremation.
Visitation with the family will be from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, 10412 Highway 6, Hitchcock, TX (409) 925-3501.
