     TEXAS CITY - Ms. Polly Marie (Cruz) Peterson passed from this life Thursday, December 7, 2017, in Houston.

     Born March 3, 1963 in Houston, Polly was a very giving person who always thought of others before herself. When she wasn’t working as a scheduler at Unity Home Care, she participated in 5K runs to raise money, enjoyed walking the trails at Jack Brooks Park and loved spending time with her grandchildren.

     She was preceded in death by her husband, Kim Petershagen and her daughter, Amy Petershagen.

     Survivors include her mother, Mary Cruz of Hitchcock; son, Cody Peterson of League City; daughter, Ashley Petershagen of Clear Lake; grandchildren, Mikey, Trae and Jordan Beary; brother, Ron Cruz and wife, Malisa and their children, Zachery, Miranda and Cameron of Cypress; sister, Teresa Lopez and husband, Frank and their children, Alyssa and Connor of Hitchcock; and her numerous extended family members.

     Visitation with the family will be from 1:00 – 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, December 13, 2017, with funeral services beginning at 2:30 p.m. in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home, 10412 Highway 6, Hitchcock, (409) 925-3501, with Mr. Robert Goolsby officiating.

     A private cremation will be conducted under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home.
