I am so very sorry for your loss. Words cannot express what you must be going through. Chance showed his true colors right to the end: bravery and love and care for others more than himself.

I am so sorry for your loss! We at Taylor University did not know Chance, but we know and love Marishia, and prayed for your family as a family in chapel yesterday.

I am so saddened by the passing of Chance and the deep pain his passing causes.

Marishia -- you are such a blessing to others. I pray God richly comfort you now in your pain.

I did not know Chance, but I have seen an outpouring of love for him from his classmates and friends on Instagram. He was clearly a wonderful boy who others cared for deeply. That speaks volumes about the person that he was. My heart breaks for all of the people mourning Chance's passing. You will all be in my prayers.

To The Patterson Family:
Marishia, I just wanted to say I am so very sorry to read of the loss of your brother. From what I read he was saving your dad's life at the time. He was a hero and just remember that he is sitting with God now and is not suffering or in any pain. Sending love and prayers your way.

Love

I am so sorry for your loss of such a smart, outgoing boy. I remember the day he started at Roy J. Wollam. He loved to read and wasn't afraid of a challenge. I always enjoyed seeing him at Band events with his family. My thoughts and prayers are with you always.
May God Watch Over You,
Mrs. Van Essen
